Type locality

Cueva de Urrekoba [original citation: “ Cueva de Urrekoba situada en el desfiladero de Atxarte, en la falda del Monte Unzillaitz, Ayuntamiento de Abadiano, cerca de Durango”].

Type material

Holotype ♂: MZB 78-2219, type loc., 31-III-1948, J. Nègre, L. & M. B. Hérault leg.

Paratypes: MZB 78-1920, MZB 78-2220, MZB 78-2221 (3 ♂♂, 1 ♀), type loc., VIII-1963, Grupo EspeleolÓgico Vizcaíno leg.

Remarks

Nègre (1965) does not state exactly the number of paratypes (“una pequeña serie de ejemplares recogidos en la misma cueva, en agosto 1963 ” [a short series of specimens collected in one cave in August 1963]) nor their deposit details. We have located the holotype in the MCNB collection (first deposited in the author’s collection) as well as four paratypes. It is likely that this material came to the MCNB collection via the donation of the author’s private collection. Hand-written on the capture labels the author is given as the collector, who refers to the traps placed on his behalf by the Vizcaíno Speleological Society .
