Cueva de la Verde [original citation: “ Cueva de la Verde , en Garandiella, Porrúa, término municipal y partido de Llanes, provincia de Oviedo”].

Type material

Paratypes: MZB 71-8181 / MZB 71-8184 (1 ♂, 3 ♀♀), MZB 78-2475, MZB 78-2476 (2 ♀♀), type loc., H. Obermaier leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey). │ MZB 71-3746 / MZB 71-3750 (3 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀), type loc., H. Obermaier leg. (ex coll. J. Nègre) .

Remarks

Bolívar (1923) does not specify the number of specimens in the type series. The identification labels of specimens MZB 71-3746 and MZB 78-2475 (hand-written by Bolívar) state “Cotipos”. Along with these specimens we have located in their respective original places of deposit the remaining specimens with the same or very similar printed labels, although most of them are not labelled as types. In Nègre’s collection we have also found a male from the same locality (MZB 71-3751) whose labels, unlike the above-mentioned specimens, are hand-written and provide no information regarding the collector. One of these labels includes the inscription “Mat. Bolivar / Mus. Madrid ”. The ♂ holotype, originally designated as “Tipo” (Article 73.1.1.), is deposited in the MNCNM (box 9), along with numerous specimens of the same origin that probably belong to the type series, although they are not identified as such. Jeannel (1924a) reports the deposit of type specimens in the Biospeologica collection. In the MNHNP collection (box 53) at least two specimens identified as cotypes have been found (material examined by J. M. Salgado).
