Cueva de San Lorenzo n. 1; Cueva de Azko [original citation: “ Vizcaya : cueva de San Lorenzo en Mañaria ... cueva de Azco, Mañaria ...”].

Type material

Remarks

Español (1950a) neither establishes a holotype nor states how many examples belong to the type series, and merely indicates two collection sites and the collection date. Eight specimens have been deposited in the MCNB collection (five from Cueva de San Lorenzo and the other three from Cueva de Azko ). Each specimen has red labels hand-written by F. Español with the inscription “Tipo” for MZB 78-1916 ( San Lorenzo ) and “ Paratipo ” for the others. The first of these specimens was designated incorrectly by Escolà (2000) as the holotype (Article 73.1.3.) on a hand-written red label. We have been unable to find any material from the type series in any other collection.
