Type locality

Cueva de Malkorraundi [original citation: “cueva de Malkorraundi, situada cerca de Gorriti (término municipal de Larraun, partido de Pamplona, provincia de Navarra)”] .

Type material

Paratypes: MZB 78-1481, MZB 78-2623 / MZB 78-2625 (3 ♂♂, 1 ♀), type loc., 23-VIII-1919, C. Bolívar & R. Jeannel leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

Bolívar (1921) does not specify the number of specimens in the type series (“numerosos ejemplares” [numerous specimens]) and merely designates a single “Tipo” ♂ (= holotype, article 73.1.1.). The specimens deposited in the MCNB collection have red labels with the hand-written inscription “Cotypus”, the exception being MZB 78-1481 (with genitalia mounted on the same pin) that has a label hand-written by O. Escolà placed at a subsequent date with the inscription “paratipus”. The specimen MZB 78-2623 also has a determination label hand-written by Bolívar with the inscription “cotipus”. The ♂ holotype is deposited in the MNCNM ( Bolívar, 1923) , in box 19, together with a long series of specimens of the same origin and with identical collection labels, probably also belonging to the type series (but not identified as such). According to Jeannel (1924a), there is also material corresponding to the type series in the Biospeologica collection ( MNHNP) .
