La Covatilla; Cova Bartolo [original citation: “Castellón: Cueva Covatilla, Ahín , en la Sierra de Espadán ...; cueva Bartolo, Ahín, inmediata a la anterior”].

Type material

Remarks

Español (1965b) refers to “numerosos ejemplares” [numerous specimens] for both localities without specifying how many or establishing a holotype. The subsequent designation of a holotype by Escolà (2000) is not valid (Article 73.1.3. ICZN 1999). This specimen (MZB 78-1728) has a red label with the inscription “Typus” hand-written by F. Español; the remaining specimens have red printed labels with the inscription “ Paratypus ”. Escolà (2000) mentions a total of 58 paratypes from La Covatilla and 63 from Cova Bartolo.
