Type locality

Cueva de la Ermita de Santa Elena [original citation: “Provincia de Huesca: cueva de la Ermita de Santa Elena, cerca de Biescas”].

Type material

Paratypes: MZB 78-2490 (1 ♂), type loc., 24-VII-1918 (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

The type series consists of 20 specimens ( Bolívar, 1918), of which only the holotype ♂ is indicated as having been deposited in the MNCNM collection (originally designated as “Tipo”, Article 73.1.1.). Specimen MZB 78- 2490 deposited in the MCNB collection has printed capture labels (only the collection date is hand-written) and a determination label hand-written by C. Bolivar with the inscription “co-TIPO”, as well as a red label printed with “Cotypus”. The inscription on the labels is practically identical to that transcribed by Fresneda & Salgado (2006, 2016) for the above-mentioned specimens from the MNCNM (2 ♂♂ and 2 ♀♀) and MNHNP (two specimens); these six specimens bear determination labels hand-written by Bolívar with the inscription “TIPO”. In our visit to the MNCNM we found the holotype and four paratypes (box 16), duly identified by red printed labels added at a later date. As well, we found five other specimens with identical capture labels that, although not labelled as part of the type series, probably do form part of that series.
