Type locality

Cova de les Encantades [original citation: “«Cova de les Encantades», a dos horas de Queralps (Caralps), al N. de Ribas, valle del río Fresser, Prov. Gerona”].

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 78-2057 / MZB 78-2066, MZB 78-2688 / MZB 78-2694 (3 ♂♂, 17 ♀♀), type loc., X-1923 (trap), R. Zariquiey leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey) .

Remarks

Zariquiey (1924) mentions as types a number of specimens collected in traps without giving the exact number or where they are deposited. In the MCNB collection we have found 20 specimens, all with the red labels “ Typus ” except for MZB 78-2066 that has a red label with the inscription “Co-Typus”. Most collection labels give the date October 1923 (in the case of three specimens, the exact date of 28 October 1923 is given). A part of the type series is deposited in the MNHNP collection ( Jeannel, 1924a). We found four specimens in the MNHNP general collection (box 73) with similar labels to those of the material deposited in the MCNB bearing the printed inscription “ TYPUS ”. ( Fresneda & Salgado, 2016, transcribe the labels associated with these specimens). In the MNCNM collection (box 26), we have found a specimen labelled as a cotype (on two labels, one of which is red), and with a collection label that resembles those of the specimens deposited in the MCNB.
