New material examined. • 1♂; PHILIPPINES, Mindanao, Misamis Occidental, Don Victoriano Chiongbian, Barangay Lake Duminagat , Mount Malindang Natural Park , forest near Lake Linao ; N8.30870, E123.61202, 1660.0± 8.9 m.a.s.l.; 8 January 2024, 21h07; feeding on flowers of herbs; coll. M.K. Tan; MIN.24.17 ( ZRC) .

Remarks. A male was also collected from Mount Malindang but this individual differs distinctly from the preceding new species by the color of the frons, tegmen and stridulatory organs, epiproct, cercus, and subgenital plate ( Fig. 16 ). There are also some differences between this male and the female holotype of Scytocera longicornis from Mindanao, including its fastigium slenderer, dorsum of head having a narrower black band, and a distinctly shorter tegmen. It is likely that this male may belong to yet another species of Scytocera , but females need to be collected and compared with that of Scytocera (Scytocera) musa Tan & Rivera , sp. nov. and female holotype of S. longicornis .
