Differential diagnosis. Body median in size, surface wrinkled and punctured. Face slightly oblique in profile, frontal ridge with distinct longitudinal sulcus. Antennae filiform. Eyes oval. Pronotum quadrangular prism shaped, anterior margin straight, posterior margin angularly protruding and slightly concave in middle; dorsum slightly tectiform, median carina thick, and interupted by posterior transverse sulcus, lateral carinae thick. Prosternal process stout and conical, apex subacuate. Tegmina lateral, oval. Hind femora with upper carina smooth, apex of lower knee lobes rounded. Hind tibiae with external apical spine. Tympana opening distinct, oval. Male epiproct broad shield shaped, posterior margin angularly projecting in middle. Male cerci compressed, widened on basal and apical parts, narrowed in the middle; or sometimes compressed conical. Male subgenital plate short conical. Epiphallus bridged, bridge straight or arched, with ancorae and lophi.
