Le spécimen type désigné par Planchon (Tweedie s.n., Brésil, Sainte Catherine, K) étant introuvable, nous désignons comme néotype, le spécimen Beechey s.n., récolté au Brésil (Sainte Catherine) et déposé aussi dans l’Herbier Hooker.
