Remarks. Ibidion (Compsibidion) vanum was described from French Guiana and Compsa histrionica from Brazil (Amazonas). Currently, Compsibidion vanum is known from Mexico (Jalisco, Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, Michoacán), Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Guyana, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Maranhão, Alagoas, Ceará, Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay and Argentina (Misiones) ( Monné 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2024).
