TYPE LOCALITY: Egypt, Nile Valley south of Assuan ( Aswan) .

DISTRIBUTION: The desert zone from Morocco and Niger through Egypt and Arabia to Tadzhikistan, Afghanistan, and Kashmir.

SYNONYMS: cinerea , jin , leucophaeus , petersi , saharae.
