Note: The holotype of T. costaricensis was collected by H. Schmidt in 1945 at Finca La Caja in the district of Uruca, canton of San José, province of San José, Costa Rica. A web page entitled “Casona Finca La Caja, Uruca, San José, 1851–1900” (https://micostaricadeantano.com/ 2020/12/29 /casona-fincala-caja-uruca-san-jose-1851-1900/, posted by Historia Costarricense, San José, Capital) features the architecture of the farm house and stories of the early owners of La Caja, but a comment posted by “Stuart” on 9 Marzo 2022 offers some entomological perspective: “Este localidad era muy importante por un gran collector de insectos, arachnidos, hongos etc, Ilamado Enrique Schmidt (? Heinrich J.C. Schmidt), y muchos de ellos son nombrado en su honor como las datos principales por sus especies nuevos. Su historia podria ser interesante” [This locality was very important for a great collector of insects, arachnids, fungi, etc., named Enrique Schmidt (Heinrich J.C. Schmidt?), and many of them are named in his honor as the main data for their new species. His story could be interesting.]
