The following taxonomic revisions are proposed for some individual species and genera of
Conopidae
based on phylogenetic analysis and the hypothesized cladogram ( Fig. 1

). The proposed new status of these species and genera reflects morphological character states as recorded as part of this research. Complete descriptions for proposed tribal groups, including these taxa, are included in the complete classification that follows. All taxonomic revisions, as well as revisionary history of all genera, are summarized in the catalogue of genus-group names (Appendix).
