Our Clavariadelphus sp. is assigned to SH1636438.08FU Clavariadelphus pistillaris View in CoL (L.) Donk 1933 with a 97.25% similarity. Huang et al. (2020) included two collections named C. pistillaris View in CoL , one from the USA and one from Italy, in their study of the genus in China; they determined that these two collections are phylogenetically quite different from each other, indicating that this is another taxon in need of study. We have seven species of Clavariadelphus View in CoL reported from BC ( Kroeger and Berch 2017), including C. pistillaris View in CoL . The UBC Fungal Collection houses two collections labelled C. pistillaris View in CoL , one of which was collected from a site we sampled, DN, but has not yet been sequenced.
