Common name: Whitehead ’ s Sundaic Spiny Rat
Myanmar name:
Distribution: Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand, Sumatra, Borneo, and various adjacent islands. In Myanmar, possibly distributed in the Southern peninsular area (Pimsai et al. 2014).
Remarks: This species is categorized as vulnerable by the IUCN; however, not yet listed under the protection status of Myanmar.
