Diagnosis. Lateral cephalic lobe narrowly rounded, about as long as rostrum; antenna 1 peduncle article 2 lacking distoventral tooth; coxa 1 strongly produced anteroventrally, apically rounded, length greater than depth, anterior margin concave; coxa 4 lacking posterodistal lobe; gnathopod 1 propodus and carpus subequal; gnathopod 2 palm almost transverse; pereopod 7, basis with posterior margin convex; epimeron 3 angular, weakly produced posterodistally into a small acute tooth; telson cleft about 50%, lobes tapering, subtriangular.
Locality. Western Indian Ocean, Mozambique Channel, NE of Banc du Geyser, Station DE 12, (Campagne Benthédi), 2500 m.
Abundance. Known from four specimens, including the 5 mm (sex?) holotype and an 8 mm ovigerous female (only epimeron 3 is drawn of female specimen).
