Distribution. Russia (North Caucasus, steppe and desert zones east to Eastern Siberia); Turkey, Caucasus, Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, Northwestern China, Southern Europe, North Africa [ ssp. fertoni (Vachal, 1894) ]
Remarks. The species is common in steppe, and also occurs in agricultural landscapes.
