M. nigra opaca; alis hyalinis; abdomine subtus fulvo; apice pube grisea vestito.
Female. Length 6 lines. Opake-black: very closely punctured; the wings hyaline and iridescent, the nervures black; the base of the metathorax with fuscous pubescence, the sides as well as the thorax beneath with griseous; the apical margins of the second, third and fourth segments with narrow fascia; of whitish pubescence, the two former widely interrupted; the fifth and sixth densely covered with short, whitish pubescence; beneath, clothed with fulvous pubescence.
