Dedicated to Francis Louis Nompar de Caumont dit Laporte, Comte de Castelnau.

Previous records: 8–12 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=22): 11–11.5 mm.

Angola, Benin, Botswana, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Transvaal, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
NOTES
From the 11 species composing the genus Enaretta Thomson, 1864 , E. castelnaudii represents one of the five species occurring in Namibia. Our various collecting data extends and completes the flight period of the species.
