Latin: dissimilar.
SIZE
Previous records: 15–30 mm; Kuzikus specimen (n=1): 26.5 mm.
PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY
From March to August, and from October to December; in Kuzikus: January–February.

DISTRIBUTION
Widespread species reported from about 24 countries in the African continent and from Saudi Arabia.
NOTE
From the 64 species composing the genus Xystrocera Audinet-Serville, 1834 , only three, X. dispar , X. laeta Péringuey, 1892 and X. nigrita Audinet-Serville, 1834 , are recorded from Namibia.
