MATERIAL EXAMINED. India: Assam, Karimganj District, Forest Track , 24.4742 N, 92.2890 E, h= 44 m, 23.IX 2018, 3 ♂, coll. Vijay Anand Ismavel. GoogleMaps
DIAGNOSIS. The species can be recognized by the long and coiled embolus, the inwardly curved retrolateral tibial apophysis in ventral view and the absence of small cusp distally on the retrolateral tibial apophysis ( Figs 3, 4 View Figs 1–4 ).
DISTRIBUTION. China (Yunnan) ( World Spider Catalog, 2024), India (new record).
REMARKS. The genus Foliabitus is recorded from India for the first time. Previous report of Euophrys omnisuperstes Wanless, 1975 from northern West Bengal ( Dhali et al., 2014) has been misidentified ( Prószyński, 2016; Caleb, 2019) and is likely to refer to Foliabitus weihangi or another member of the genus Foliabitus .
