Lectotype (designated by Fischer 1932):— INDIA.: India , s.d., Koenig, s.n., ( LD, LD1291187 , digital image!); isolectotypes: NIL.
Retzius proposed the name C. canaliculatus based on the collections of Koenig from India Orientalis. We could trace a single specimen LD1291187 housed at Lund Herbarium, and this constitutes the lectotype for the name C. canaliculatus as cited by Fischer (1932) and must be considered as valid.
