Material examined. FSI/VIZAG/CRUST: 218, 1 male (TL 90 mm), 20°01.6’N, 86°47.2’E, 44–45 m, coll. K. Silambarasan, 12 March 2020 .

Remarks. The present specimen of L. tiwarii , the largest so far known, closely agrees with the description provided by Moosa & Cleva (1984) and Ahyong (2001). The rostral plate is elongated and the raptorial claw dactylus bears 6 teeth, consistent with previous descriptions, although the telson denticulation exhibits a distinct variation. Previous accounts describe multiple submedian denticles on each side of the median fissure, but our specimen processes only a single submedian denticle per side. The abdominal spination of the present specimen is follows: submedian 6, intermediate 5–6, lateral 3–6, marginal 1–5.

Distribution. Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam (Moosa & Cleva 1986; Ahyong 2001, 2012); a new record for the northeast coast of India.
