PR has examined four of Ducke’s syntype specimens, which belong to two different species based on body sculpture and the black spots on the second sternum. The punctation of the specimens housed in MSNG ( Fig. 18A ) is spaced with larger punctures, whereas in specimens deposited at MNHN and NMBE ( Fig. 18C ) is dense and subreticulate. Additionally, the shape of the black spots on the second sternum differs, being subrectangular and basal in the MSNG specimens ( Fig. 18B ) and comma-like and medially positioned in specimens in MNHN and NMBE ( Fig. 18D ). Linsenmaier in 1993 examined the specimen deposited at NMBE and identified it as Neochrysis insuturalis Linsenmaier, 1985 . Since the type series includes at least two distinct species, a lectotype designation is needed to fix the interpretation of this taxon. However, we refrain from making this designation at present, as a comprehensive revision of the genus is needed to determine the most appropriate lectotype.
