Dardanus lagopodes ( Forskål, 1775)

Habitat. Sandy shore, seagrass bed, and reef flat, intertidal to shallow subtidal.

Distribution. Wide distribution in the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea. Indonesia: Lombok, Sulawesi, and Maluku.

Remarks. The color of the specimen in this study is slightly brighter than the specimens from Panglao examined by Malay et al. (2018). However, the shape and ornamentation of the left third pereopod which is flattened, broad, and covered with corneous spines give no doubt of its identity as D. lagopodes .
