Collection information.
USA: Georgia (new state record *): Clarke Co.: a single individual from one site. Caught in flight trap from 14–27 July 2020.
Distribution.
Eastern North America.
Saproxylic habits.
Emerged from sweetgum ( Ulyshen and Hanula 2009 a) and loblolly pine dead for five years ( Ulyshen and Hanula 2010); species of Aeletes Horn, 1873 are often found in association with rotting tree trunks and occasionally leaf litter ( Kovarik and Caterino 2005).
