Lectotype (Dillon in Fieldiana, Bot., n.s., 7: 6. 1981): Herb. Linn. No. 1014.13 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Cotula Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 182. 1929).

Current name: Cotula coronopifolia L. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Dillon’s choice of type pre-dates that of Humphries (Herb. Clifford: 417, Cotula 2, BM) in Jarvis & al. ( Regnum Veg. 127: 38. 1993).
