― Synonym of Peronia peronii ( Hoffmann 1928, as Onchidium ; Bretnall 1919 as Onchidium ; Labbé 1934a. Blainville clearly indicated that the name Peronia mauritiana referred to the same species as Onchidium peronii Cuvier. Blainville also published the name Peronia mauritiana in the article “Péronie” of the Dictionnaire des Sciences Naturelles (1825a: 523) and in the Manuel de Malacologie et de Conchyliologie ( Blainville 1825b: 490, pl. XLVI, fig. 7).
