Distribution. — Endemic to Colombia, at (900) 1200–2200 m.

Discussion. — Based on Holm-Nielsen et al. 26516 (AAU), Potgieter and Zarucchi (1999) reported this species for Ecuador. However, this specimen must be identified as Mandevilla inexperata J.F. Morales , an endemic Ecuadorian species ( Morales 2007b).
