Host plant/gall: Papaver rhoeas L., P.dubium L. ( Papaveraceae )—gregarious globular individual galls inside capsules.

Distribution in Dobrogea: the villages—Comana, Dumbrӑveni, Esechioi, Valu lui Traian, forests—Canaraua Fetii Natural Reserve, „Fântâniţa”—Murfatlar Natural Reserve, Hagieni Natural Reserve, Negru Vodӑ, Neptun (Comorova forest), CT county ( Pujade-Villar & Şchiopu, 2015).

World distribution: Austria, France, Germany ( Kieffer 1897 – 1901), Great Britain ( Eady & Quinlan, 1963), Hungary ( Ambrus, 1974), Poland ( Kierych, 1979), Iberian Peninsula (Nieves-Aldrey, 1984, 2001; Pujade-Villar, 1986), Ukraine ( Diakontschuk, 2003; Melika, 2006), Türkiye (Katılmıs & Kiyak, 2011), Iran ( Melika & Karimpoor, 2012).
