Type material. Holotype, 1♂, CHINA: Yunnan Province, Fenshuiling National Natural Reserve . 103.1976°E 22.8447°N, H, 1420 m, 19.V.2015, (light-trap), collected by Yan Bin. GoogleMaps Paratypes, 16♂♂, collection information same as holotype.

Description. Length: male 3.8–4.0 mm.

Body ( Fig. 2A, B View FIGURE 2 ) yellow with dark spots. Eyes ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ) dark gray. Crown ( Fig. 2C, F View FIGURE 2 ) rounded and protruding, mid length shorter than interocular width, coronal suture short. Width of crown narrower than that of the pronotum, base color of crown is yellowish–white, symmetrical orange–yellow irregular spots on both sides of coronal suture, a transverse crescent-shaped red spot on the top of the crown in front view. Face ( Fig. 2E View FIGURE 2 ) brown and slightly raised, anteclypeus dark. Pronotum ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ) yellowish–white with orange–yellow stripes on anterior and lateral margins, middle area and posterior margin orange–yellow with beige spots. Scutellum ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ) yellow, with darker color at lateral corners, and two brown longitudinal stripes running through a transverse indentation.

Forewings ( Fig. 2A, B, G View FIGURE 2 ) orange–yellow and covered with dirty spots, apical area translucent and brown, without spots. Hindwings ( Fig. 2H View FIGURE 2 ) transparent, anal veins and CuA veins forked.

Abdominal apodemes ( Fig. 2I View FIGURE 2 ) not well developed, reaching the 4th abdominal sternite. Pygofer ( Fig. 2J– L View FIGURE 2 ) triangular, pygofer appendage protruding on middle part of dorsal margin, a macroseta near the base of the appendage., and a row of medium-lengthed setae situated in the distal part of the pygofer lobe.

Subgenital plate ( Fig. 2J, L View FIGURE 2 ) petal-shaped, fused at base, longer than pygofer. A row of slender microsetae on lateral margin, some macrosetae scattered in the middle area. Style ( Fig. 2N View FIGURE 2 ) long, hooked apically, necks slender. Connective ( Fig. 2N View FIGURE 2 ) V-shaped, with stout and long arms and a prominent central process. Aedeagus ( Fig. 2M, N View FIGURE 2 ) shorter than style, a pair of slender processes protrude from ventral base, much longer than shaft. Shaft tubular and short, with apical processes rabbit ear-shaped, but length less than that of the base process. Gonopore subapical.

Etymology: The specific epithet is the Latin noun lepus (rabbit), referring to the apical aedeagal processes resemblance to rabbit ears.

Remarks. This species, differs from all other species of Platfusa in having a pair of slender basal processes on the ventral side of the aedeagus; also, the pygofer appendage is more prominent and obvious.
