Note: Lansdown (in Lansdown & Jarvis, Taxon 53: 170. 2004) notes that the cited Loesel illustration (which appears to be the only original material for the name) probably depicts a species of Stellaria ( Caryophyllaceae ), rather than a Callitriche ( Callitrichaceae ).
