Metadioxys Popov, 1947: 88, type species: Dioxys formosa Morawitz, 1875, by original designation.

Notes.

This genus has a similar distribution to the previous genera in North Africa and the Middle East, from Morocco in the west to Uzbekistan in the east. Three species were described, one of which was reported from Europe - Greece ( Popov 1936, 1953; Michener 2007).
