I. Suborder Terebrantia Haliday, 1836
This suborder included eight families in the world, of which the following five families are known from China: Aeolothripidae , Melanthripidae , Merothripidae , Stenurothripidae and Thripidae . Amongst them, the family Stenurothripidae was recorded in China having one genus and one species ( Feng & Tong, 2021).
