Note. Ctenothrips smilax was added to the fauna of China with the first description of the male and macropterous female by Hu & Feng (2011a) and transferred to the genus Vulgatothrips as a new combination. Ctenothrips niger was added to the fauna of China with the first description of the male by Hu and Feng (2011a), and then synonymized with Vulgatothrips smilax (Bhatti) by Wang et al. (2020).
