Distribution. Ukriane: the Crimea, Odesa Region, introduced in Kyiv and Lviv Regions ( Yunakov, 2003 b; Yunakov et al., 2018 a, b). Southern and Eastern Europe, Southwestern Asia, and Middle East ( Alonso-Zarazaga et al., 2017).
Biology. Nocturnal, parthenogenetic species inhabiting mountain meso-xerothermic forests ( Yunakov, 2003 b; Yunakov et al., 2018). Dendrobiotic phyllophagous species feeding on various plants including Artemisia sp. , Carpinus orientalis , Crataegus sp. , Cerasus microcarpa, Cornus mas , Cupressus sempervirens , Eriobotrya japonica , Juniperus excelsa , Ligustrum vulgare , Morus alba , Olea europaea , Prunus dulcis , P. cerasus , P. domestica , P. persica , Qercus petraea , Q. pubescens , Rosa sp. , Rubus sp. , and Sorbus taurica ( Yunakov, 2003 b; Özbek, 2016; Yunakov et al., 2018 a). It has been reported that beetles could damage leaves of P. cerasus ( Özbek, 2016) and other fruit trees, and grapes ( Yunakov, 2003 b).
