Distribution. Ukraine: the Crimea ( Yunakov, 2003 a, b; Yunakov et al., 2018 a, b). Otiorhynchus atronitens is known from Krasnodar Krai of Russia and Ukraine only ( Yunakov, 2003 a, b; Yunakov et al., 2018 a) and is the Orocrimean subendemic species.
Biology. Otiorhynchus atronitens is a nocturnal, meso-xerophylic, tamno-chortobiotic species inhabiting mountain and lowland mixed, and Mediterranean forests, shrublands, and mountain grasslands ( Yunakov, 2003 a, b; Yunakov et al., 2018 a). Polyphagous on arboreal and shrubby vegetation, mainly Cotinus sp. , Crataegus sp. , Juniperus sp. , Prunus sp. , Rosa sp. ( Yunakov, 2003 a, b).
