Distribution. Ukraine: the Crimea, Donetsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia Regions ( Yunakov et al., 2018 a). Almost whole Europe, Southwestern Asia, Middle East, and Kyrgyzstan ( Alonso-Zarazaga et al., 2017).
Biology. Parthenogenetic, xerophilic species inhabiting steppes ( Yunakov, 2003 b; Yunakov et al., 2018 a). The species is a polyphagous and feeds on plants of the family Poaceae , Potentilla sp. , and Carduus sp. ( Yunakov et al., 2018 a).
Taxonomic notes. Otiorhynchus brunneus by some authors is also regarded as belonging to the subgenus Arammichnus ( Białooki & Germann, 2016) .
