Family Megachilidae Latreille View in CoL
Megachile ( Pseudocentron) sp.
The Megachile View in CoL collected may be a subspecies of Megachile holosericea (Fabricius) View in CoL , or perhaps an undescribed species; it may also be Megachile vitraci Pérez View in CoL (J. Genaro pers. com. 2012). Of the species collected, only A. mellifera View in CoL is considered exotic to the Caribbean. Anthophora eustatiensis View in CoL is endemic to the islands of St. Eustatius and St. Kitts ( Brooks 1999), while Mesoplia aff. rufipes (Perty) View in CoL (sensu Genaro and Franz 2008), X. mordax View in CoL , Centris decolorata Lepeletier View in CoL , Centris smithii Cresson View in CoL , and Centris lanipes (Fabricius) View in CoL are all found elsewhere in both the Greater and Lesser Antilles ( Genaro and Franz 2008).
