European distribution: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia (European part), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom ( Sammet et al. 2016; WPC 2024).

Notes: Dinocheirus panzeri is dendrophilous ( KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014; ChristophoryovÁ et al. 2016, 2017b). It was also rarely found in compost heap ( KaňuchovÁ et al. 2015) and soil ( Christophoryová et al. 2016). The present research brings new knowledge about the habitat preference of the species, which was first recorded in bird nests, Malaise, and pitfall traps.
