Not distinguishable from H. x auriculoides. H. piloselloides and H. praealtum do not usually grow together. C. & C.E. Europe. Au Bu Cz Ge Hu It Ju Rm Rs (C, K).
The correct distribution and synonymy of H. x auriculoides and H. x echiogenes are difficult to ascertain.
