Intermediate between the parents. Differs from H. hoppeanum in its more or less glaucous leaves, capitula 2-7 on long peduncles, and involucre 6-9-5 mm, and from H. piloselloides in its fewer, larger capitula. C. Europe and Balkan peninsula. Au Bu Ge Gr He Hu It Ju Rm.
