Like subsp. (a) but stems simple; leaves flat, not or scarcely keeled; involucre with 15-20 bracts; ligules pale purplish; achenes 10-15 mm, scabrid towards apex. 2л = 14. Damp or shady places. • E.C. Europe, Balkan peninsula, N. & C. Italy.
