Stems with long, thin, densely leafy branches. Leaves densely tomentose, narrowly lanceolate or linear. Involucre 10-11 mm in diameter, ovoid-globose; appendages brown, triangular, erect. Meadows and pastures. Alps, mainly in the south-west.
