Biennial 40-90 cm. Stem erect, much-branched, forming a lax panicle. Leaves green above, lanate beneath; lower 2-pinnatifid. Capitula solitary. Involucre 5-8 mm in diameter, narrowed at base; appendages acuminate at apex. Florets purple. • N. W. Spain, N. & C. Portugal. Hs Lu.
