Plant densely white-tomentose. Stems erect. Lower leaves l-(2-)pinnatisect, with 8-12 segments on each side. Capitula sessile. Involucre 10-15 x 9-12 mm, ovoid-oblong; fimbriae 0-5-1 -5 mm. 2n = 18. W. coast of C. & S. Italy; ISicilia.
