Like 19(a) but leaves glabrous, with linear, pinnatisect mucronulate segments; appendages with fimbriae joined by a hyaline membrane below, and with spines not more than 5 mm; florets pale yellow or purple, the outer longer than the inner. 2/i = 20. • S.E. Alps. It Ju.

Probably a hybrid between 22 and 54(a).
