Polistes major Palisot de Beauvois

Distribution.

The nominate subspecies of Polistes major has been found in northern Spain ( Castro et al. 2013). The species ranges from the southern U.S.A. to Brazil and Peru, including several Caribbean islands ( Carpenter 1996).
