Type:— MADAGASCAR. [Reverend R.] Baron 3574 [holotype Herb. K (image of the specimen not available for examination online, not seen); isotype Herb. P barcode P00374216 ! (image of the specimen is available for examination online at http://coldb.mnhn. fr/catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00374216)] .

Nomenclatural notes:— Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau (1995: 62), who regarded the [Reverend R.] Baron 3574 specimen held at Herb. K as the holotype, are followed here. Unfortunately an image of the Herb. K specimen is not accessible online. An isotype of the name K. pubescens is held at Herb. P. Although Descoings (2003: 171) did not indicate the sorts of types of the name K. pubescens that he cited, he apparently agreed with the view of Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau (1995: 62) and stated that the “ T:” of the name is “ Madagascar ( Baron 3574 [K, P])”.

Taxonomic notes:—The name K. pubescens is in use for an accepted species. The type of the name K. pubescens is the type of K. sect. Pubescentes ( Berger 1930: 407, as “§ 5”) Smith (2024c: 212).
